AUR000 · Alpha Platform
An alpha-emitting payload for the peptide ligands.
Some tumors need an alpha emitter: small metastases, and cells which are hypoxic and resistant to the beta particle. An alpha particle deposits its energy within a few cell diameters, so a ligand that reaches the tumor within minutes and is cleared within hours is well matched to it, provided the emitter stays on the ligand in the body. The chemistry which holds the alpha emitter on the peptide is the subject of the platform, and it is not disclosed at this stage.
AUR000 gives the ¹⁷⁷Lu programs an alpha-emitting counterpart on the same ligands, so that a target validated with the beta therapy can be treated with the alpha therapy without a new ligand or a new imaging agent.
Status
Research stage: the payload chemistry is being developed and tested for stability in serum and in animals. The platform is built to be ubiquitous: because it attaches to the same ligands and the same conjugation site, any of the ¹⁷⁷Lu programs can be translated into an alpha program without a new ligand, a new imaging agent, or a new manufacturing process.
